A Message from Carolyn
Hello, my name is Carolyn, and I am reaching out today as I prepare for a double lung transplant, my best hope for a healthier and fuller life at 57 years old. ln January 2024, I was diagnosed with Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD), specifically Pulmonary Fibrosis. This condition causes scarring in the lungs, making breathing incredibly difficult and profoundly impacting my daily life. The journey is challenging, filled with hospital visits, treatments, and moments of uncertainty. Through it all, I've worked to maintain a positive outlook and a fighting spirit.
A double lung transplant is a life-saving procedure, but it also comes with significant financial challenges. Between the surgery, post-operative care, medication, and ongoing treatments, the costs are overwhelming. I am seeking to raise $20,000 to help cover these expenses, allowing me to focus entirely on my recovery without financial strain. This transplant represents more than just a medical procedure. It's a chance to return to a life where l can breathe freely, engage in everyday activities, and spend precious moments with loved ones. It's also an opportunity to continue the work that gives me purpose: serving my community and sharing hope through the ministry.
My spiritual journey has always been at the heart of who I am. I have dedicated my life to evangelizing and spreading God's love through community events, fundraisers, and outreach programs like feeding the homeless. One of my greatest joys is participating in Prayer and Hope ministry events, where I offer encouragement through prayer and spiritual dancing. I am also deeply passionate about empowering others on their life journey, helping them find strength and purpose through faith and connection.
